Screenwriting Workshop

This interactive workshop offers participants a practical exploration of the screenplay rewriting process through the short film Sirènes. By examining the first and second versions of the script, attendees will gain insight into how stories evolve, sharpen, and deepen through revision. Grounded in the real-life creative process of the writer-director, the session highlights an essential truth of filmmaking: writing is rewriting.

Sarah Malléon Bio

Sarah Malléon is a Martinican screenwriter and director, graduated from the CEEA (European Conservatory of Audiovisual Writing). Her short film Sirènes was selected for prestigious international festivals, including Tribeca and the El Gouna International Film Festival, and has won several awards. She is also the creator of the series Lâche Rien for France TV and is currently developing a series for HBO France as well as her first feature film.

Film Business Workshop

Reimagining the Business in Film Business will invite filmmakers and creatives to rethink how films can create both cultural impact and sustainable economic opportunities. Led by filmmaker and creative entrepreneur Michael Campbell (Mikey T), the workshop will draw from real-world experiences, including the journey of *Beg Yuh A Call*, to explore audience strategy, branding, partnerships, distribution, and alternative spaces for showcasing films beyond traditional festivals. Participants will gain practical insight into positioning their stories for long-term growth, impact, and ownership in today’s evolving film landscape.

Mikey T Bio

Michael “Mikey T” Campbell is an award-winning filmmaker, storyteller, and speaker dedicated to using film as a tool for connection, cultural impact, and meaningful dialogue. Through projects like Jamaica Story, he explores authentic Jamaican experiences and stories that reconnect the diaspora to home. His work focuses on building community, reshaping narratives about Jamaica, and inspiring conversations that create lasting impact.
