Genre: Horror
Voyeur is a tense psychological horror that unfolds in the uneasy space between privacy and exposure. While waiting for a friend in a coffee shop, a young woman begins receiving anonymous messages containing photographs of herself—images taken moments before, as if someone is watching her in real time. As the messages continue, the sense of unseen surveillance intensifies, blurring the line between coincidence and intrusion, and pushing her into a growing spiral of fear and uncertainty.
Directed by Iranian filmmaker Maryam Hashempour, the film draws on her background in theatre and cinema, shaped by studies at Soore University and Sepehr University of Isfahan, where she explored the intersections of visual art and cinematic expression. With experience as a performer in international theatre festivals across Europe and a growing career in directing, Hashempour brings a precise, atmospheric sensibility to Voyeur. The film becomes a chilling reflection on surveillance, vulnerability, and the fragile boundaries between public and private space.
